Hybrid – but different!
The AIR ILLUMINA rubbers offer what many others dream of: a high-grip Chinese-made topsheet with a dynamic sponge. This extremely grippy version of an ACTIVE TENSION TECHNOLOGY surface puts most other rubbers in the shade when it comes to cut and spin. This topsheet was combined with the proven PURE ENERGY SPONGE. The AIR ILLUMINA VIP has a harder medium sponge, and now the harmony is over. In contrast to the AIR ILLUMINA HARMONY, the VIP version is noticeably more aggressive. Here the well-known hybrid approach comes into its own even more, because the identical undersheet was glued to that of the AIR ASSASSINS VIP, which is great, but combined with the tacky surface of the ILLUMINA series, which achieves enormous spin values, regardless of whether Serve or return, with Schupf, flip variations or topspin. A highly interesting alternative in the hybrid sector.
